Executing Unite FAQ's
Who benefits from the funding?
The Unite program is open to Active Duty, Reservists, both APF and NAF Civilians, and family members of the squadron.
Can family members participate?
Yes, however the participating family members must be included in the original numbers submitted in the proposal and confirmed in approval.
Can Unite funds be used for holiday parties?
No, Unite funds CANNOT be used to augment holiday parties. Squadron Private Organization funds may be used to cover holiday party expenses.
What if food/activities cost more than our allotted amount?
Unite program funds are limited and may not cover everything. Squadron Booster Clubs can help offset the cost or the individuals can pay the difference.
Can we split the money between several facilities?
Absolutley, include all locations, etc., on your “Event Proposal Form”.
Why can’t we just have a burger burn?
Unite is not a food & beverage program. Food is secondary to the recreational activity and/or program. Simply add your food option/request on the Event Proposal Form and your Unite representative will review.
Can we plan for activities or food off-base?
Yes, however, be aware that off-base activities and food may exceed your allotted amount and additional funds may be needed to secure the venue.
